TFD Responds to Structure Fire on Victory Garden Drive

On Dec. 28, at approximately 1:52 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a structure fire in the 400 block of Victory Garden Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy flames through the roof of a two-story apartment complex. Crews immediately began extinguishing the fire while ensuring the apartments were clear of occupants. It was determined that all occupants had safely exited the building prior to TFD’s arrival.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene for further investigation. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Red Cross was called to assist residents.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
